Sean's office will be one of the first projects we tackle once the floors are refinished (hopefully before the end of March!). Sean is a very fashionable guy - he loves a nice suit, a beautiful watch, a funky pocket square. He likes to sip rare bourbons and reads more than anyone I know, so I really want his office to reflect all of these things. Plus, I know how much it means to him when people compliment him on his cool space during Zoom meetings!
I can't seem to imagine a man's office without hearing Ron Burgundy's voice in my head, "I'm very important, I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany". And honestly, Ron's not that far off from my vision. I want to pull inspiration from classic Americana: wood + leather, mid-century furniture, rich, deep colors and layered textures and prints. This office is going to be somewhat temporary. We are setting him up in what would be a guest bedroom, hoping that - in the next few years or so - we will be expanding our detached garage and moving him out there. So, I will be keeping the budget low and updating a few pieces we already have to work within the new space.
Here is a collection of images that have been inspiring me! Following along on the blog + instagram to watch the progress!

I know this last one isn't an office, but something about the warm wood and this bold, cozy plaid that just hits right.
